At the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre from 16 to 19 March, FENSTERBAU/FRONTALE 2016 will present the latest global innovations in windows, doors and facades. Every two years, architects, carpenters, window and facade manufacturers and retailers learn all about the latest profile systems, architectural glass, fastening and safety technology, machinery, equipment and much more. In 2014, more than 108,000 visitors and 1,319 exhibitors made FENSTERBAU FRONTALE in association with HOLZ-HANDWERK an impressive highlight for the sector. Elke Harreiß, director of exhibition, emphasize the most important elements related to the event.

 

-Our goal with FENSTERBAU/FRONTALE is to create a platform every two years to provide insights into the latest developments and a perspective on those that will shape the industry in the future. Shortly after the last event, the majority of the exhibitors had already booked their stands for 2016, which once again underscores the status of the event as the world’s leading trade fair for the sector. In March our entire exhibition space will once again be fully booked and will feature key industry players as well as some interesting newcomers. Together with HOLZ-HANDWERK we expect around 1,300 exhibitors and more than 100,000 visitors. But more important to us than all the record-breaking figures is the satisfaction of our exhibitors and trade visitors.

 

 

-In Germany the climate imposes certain demands on windows that make them a high-tech product that is constantly being improved. PVC windows account for the highest share of the market in Germany, as they enable a very high energy efficiency rating to be achieved. As factors like global warming and a growing awareness of energy efficiency and costs are ensuring increased demand, they are also making inroads into the market worldwide. Apart from energy efficiency, sustainability, design and comfort, security is one of the most important requirements in the product development of windows, doors and facades.

 

 

-Current and future trends characterize the product range on display at FENSTERBAU FRONTALE. So in 2016, for example, one area of focus is security. Another new feature is the expansion of the supporting program specifically for architects and building designers in the form of architectural tours of Nuremberg. Thanks to the new app for iOS and Android, visitors can get information about exhibitors and products ahead of the show and can make up a wish list.

 

 

To keep pace with technological change, our exhibitors and visitors, and ourselves as show organizers, have to be strategically flexible, keep a closer eye than ever on the markets and anticipate changing customer needs in good time. The trade fair advisory board helps us to constantly keep our finger on the pulse of the market and implement a forward-looking trade fair concept. We will be meeting immediately after the show to analyze the event and start planning for 2018.
