Growth of joinery market, estimated by 72.3% of managers
Producatori de tamplarie Publicat de Ovidiu Stefanescu 26 Feb 2016 09:00
According to a survey entitled "What trend will have joinery deliveries in 2015?”, conducted between 28’th November 2014 – 19’th January 2016 on the business portal www.fereastra.ro, almost all representatives of companies from the analyzed branch (except 27 7% of respondents) indicated that the overall situation reflects mainly a stagnation of the market or some improvements. Thus, about 16.7% of total managers indicate that the industry – on domestic and abroad markets - rose by 5% in 2015 (which is, in fact, a maintenance of the specific dynamics in 2014, when turnover of 1,000 manufacturers of joinery, included in the list drawn up by the Fereastra magazine, progressed by 6%), a similar proportion of managers (16.7%) showing that the sector will remain at a threshold established in 2014. A possible drop of up to 5% or a decrease exceeding this threshold was estimated by 11.1% and 16.7% of respondents, while others - the most numerous (22.2%) claim that deliveries will increase by over 10%, which is optimistic and in some cases even unrealistic. In contrast, the number of respondents who rather take into account an increase between 5% and 10% is similar to other categories (16.7% of total), so this trend of the industry continue to be unlikely, in all respects as well a possible downward trend. Like in another survey with a similar subject, dedicated to the construction market, the operators in the industry express the main opinion that the current upward trend marking the sector is sustainable (the growth being more than 10%, and as confirmed by statistics on the volume of construction works, after crossing 11 months of last year). However, we must bear in mind that the current growth is, in fact, a recovery of losses recorded during the recession - and especially in 2009 - only later following to install a really upward trend, marking the beginning of a period of profitability. At the same time, because nearly 27.7% of managers foresaw a decrease in sales of windows for the year 2015, is clear that, unlike their counterparts in the construction sector, they continue to be pessimistic regarding the evolution of the specific market.
